Rules and Regulations

COLLEGE RULES & REGULATIONS

1. One academic session is divided into two semesters i.e. one is from June to November and another one is from December to May. The college timing is from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm.

2. Any administration work will be down at office room during office hours (8.30am to 2.30pm) only.

3. Students are advised to carry their Identity Card always with them to attain all privileges as a student. Identity Card is produced by College authority only. It is renewed every year. Identity Card should be produced by the student as per demand of College officials and security personnel.

4. Students are strictly forbidden from handling the electrical switches or connection or splitting the walls, black boards / white boards, pillars, floors and doors of the college in any manner.

5. For accessing library, student must provide their identity card for verification. No student must be found in library during the on going class.

6. Use of mobile phones in the classrooms, Library, labs, workshop area etc.is strictly prohibited.

7. Bicycles and vehicles of the students must be kept in the designated place decided by the authority. Students are not allowed to keep their bicycles and vehicles inside the college premises.

8. If any student wishes to make any representation or wants to arrange any event, than he/she should seek prior permission from the Principal during college hours only. No entertainment can be done after college hours.

9. Students are required to be disciplined and quiet in the college . Unnecessary roaming inside college corridor should be avoided .

10. No student allowed to do any strike or any disturbance or any nuisance inside the college premises.

11. For the maintenance of discipline in the college, the punishments set forth below may be inflicted. Verbal and written reprimand, fine, forfeiture of fees paid, deprivation of scholarship, rustication or expulsion can be result of their in-disciplinary activities.

12. Expulsion from the college may be inflicted for delinquencies of a heinous nature involving disgraceful or dishonourable conduct or moral

turpitude or persistent or wilful infringement of College Rules, including an organized attempt to stay from the college or create disturbances or for gross insubordination or disrespect to the constituted authority of the College or for instigating discounted breaches of discipline or for cheating or attempting to cheat or any sort of damages to the institution.

13. A student must act in disciplinary manner inside and outside of the college premises. If any student found doing misconduct outside of the college premises, the college will not be held responsible for their action.

14. A student who is rusticated or whose name is removed from the college rolls, should leave the college, irrespective of whether he/she has paid the college fees in advance or not. Fees and deposits paid by such students shall be forfeited. If such a student does not leave the college by the date he/she is required to do so, he/she shall be liable to pay penalties, in violation to the order and shall also be subject to any lawful action taken by the college authority.

15. No Ragging is entertained in the college premises and it is strictly prohibited.

16. Sexual harassment and eve teasing is strictly prohibited. If any student found in this action it will lead to severe punishment against them.

17. No club or society shall be started or maintained by any student without the approval of the principal.

18. Meeting of social or academic nature may be held by the students with the prior permission of the principal during college hours only.

19. No guests / visitors shall be allowed with the students in the class/lab/ library.

20. Students must go through the various notices displayed on the notice boards and websites of the college from time to time regarding all academic activities including examinations, etc.

21. Raising subscription from among the students in the college or from outsiders for any purpose is absolutely forbidden.

22. Misbehaviour or misconduct on the party of the students is considered as a serious offense.
If any student found creating damage to the college property it will be duly recovered from the student.

23. Student seeking their College Leaving Certificate & Conduct Certificate etc. must apply to the principal in the prescribed form/application at least 3 days in advance along with necessary fees & clearance certificate. The students those who are not able to apply physically for the CLC, they may sent the prescribed form/application through Registered Post in the self address stamped envelope.

24. A student of this college must behave and conduct himself/herself in a disciplined manner both inside and outside the College premises. He/she must abide by all the rules and regulations prescribed from time to time by the College Authorities and shall not conduct himself/herself in any manner prejudicial to the honour and dignity of the Institution.

25. The campus of the College is strictly a no-smoking and non-alcoholic Zone. Any deviation from this will be seriously viewed and lead to strong action against students from the authorities.

COLLEGE UNIFORM

The Bar Council of India has decided the Dress Code of the Students of every law college. Students shall have formal Dress. As follows:

1. For Boys – Black Trouser & Full sleeve white Shirt, (Black Tie and Black Coat optional)

2. For Girls- Black boarded white Saree with white full sleeve blouse or White Kurta, Black Salwar/Chudidar & Black Dupatta (Black coat optional)
